Safety First: Our Commitment at American Flight Support

At American Flight Support, safety is more than just a priority—it’s the cornerstone of everything we do. We understand that in the world of aviation, safety is paramount, and we are committed to ensuring that every flight we handle meets the highest safety standards.

Vetting Operators and Crew

We take the safety of our operations a step further by meticulously vetting every operator and crew member we work with. Our comprehensive vetting process is based on strict requirements for both the Pilot in Command (PIC) and Second in Command (SIC), as well as the operators themselves. This ensures that only the most qualified and experienced professionals are involved in our flights.

For Pilots in Command (PIC):

Experience: A minimum number of flight hours in the specific aircraft type.

Certification: Valid certifications and licenses as required by aviation authorities.

Training: Recent and regular completion of recurrent training, including emergency procedures and simulator training.

Health: Up-to-date medical certifications confirming fitness to fly.

Background Check: Thorough background checks, including past performance and incident history.

For Second in Command (SIC):

Experience: Sufficient flight hours as SIC in the specific aircraft type.

Certification: Appropriate certifications and licenses, including any type ratings necessary for the aircraft.

Training: Ongoing training and proficiency checks to ensure readiness for all flight conditions.

Health: Current medical certifications meeting regulatory standards.

Background Check: Detailed review of past performance and safety records.

For Operators:

Operational History: Review of the operator’s safety record, including incident and accident history.

Compliance: Strict adherence to all regulatory requirements, including maintenance, crew training, and operational procedures.

Insurance: Verification of comprehensive insurance coverage appropriate to the operation.

Audit: Regular audits of the operator’s safety management systems and operational practices.

Reputation: Consideration of industry reputation, client feedback, and third-party audits.

By enforcing these rigorous standards, we ensure that every individual and organization involved in our operations is fully equipped to uphold our uncompromising commitment to safety. This thorough vetting process is just one of the many ways we maintain the highest levels of safety and reliability in all our services.
