Empty Legs
What is an Empty Leg?
In simple terms, an Empty leg is part of a flight that doesn’t have any passengers. If an aircraft is chartered for a one way flight, it must afterwards return to it’s home, with no passengers. This part of the flight is the ’empty leg’. As the aircraft is already required to make the flight, the operator may offer tickets for this leg at a discounted price. The price may be lower than chartering the flight directly, even if the aircraft has to be repositioned to a third airport.
That’s where American Flight Support come in. Thanks to our contacts with charter aircraft operators, we have a wide selection of empty legs to choose from. And if we don’t have the perfect flight, we may be able to reposition aircraft to get it set up for you. And all at great prices of course!
